Offer Your Qurbani During the Month of Dhul Hijjah

"There is nothing dearer to Allah during the days of Qurbani than the sacrificing of animals. The sacrificed animal shall come on the Day of Judgement with it's horns, hair and hooves (to be weighed). The sacrifice is accepted by Allah before the blood reaches the ground. Therefore sacrifice with an open and happy heart"

[Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah]

The 12th and last month of the Islamic calendar, Dhul Hijjah, is reserved for the offering of an animal, most frequently a cow, sheep, camel, or goat. This is known as qurbani, which is Arabic for "offering." This is an acknowledgement of Ibrahim's (AS) willingness to offer his son as a sacrifice to Allah (SWT).

With your generosity, COZ Foundation will delicately select an animal and deliver the meat to our vulnerable widows and orphans in Tanzania's rural regions. They will be able to partake in a healthy Qurbani supper as a result. We always ensure that the meat is sourced locally. During Qurbani, it is customary to donate meat to the less fortunate to promote joy and allow them to celebrate Eid al-Adha.

Please be advised that a large animal can be prepared for seven separate households as it is divided into seven portions. 3 kilos of beef will be given to each family which is currently priced at £65. Alternatively, you can sacrifice a whole animal that will be donated to disadvantaged families, orphans, widows and the elderly. Kindly enter the name of who you would like to donate the Qurbani for on the notes section at check out or via our email info@cozfoundation.co.uk
